when was the original post written....???
Never had I ever seen a talent blowing away their competition as with Lewis Hamilton in GP2. And that was by mid mid (rookie) season of gp2.
Too bad he didnt get better support and advice. People around him thought he was the F1 God he appeared to be. Shame on you for not advising him to take two mid field point positions in the end. (if that what was all that was offered, hardly)

What was Lewis thinking - again... « Result #8 on Oct 21, 2007, 9:11pm »
My official report of the season finale.
What was Lewis thinking? Two weeks in a row. Obviously he wasnt and nobody else was thinking for him. Typical McLaren fiasco.
So Alonso attacks. What a surprise. He takes Lewis. Lewis tries to take it right back... WHY? you are 1/2 a lap into the race. All you gotta do is stay pace with Alonso (which today would have been easy) Instead he goes wide. Drops to eight. Continues to PANIC. Fight with Nick. We are still on the first few laps - mind you. In his panicking maneuvers hits kerbs and bumps steering wheel button that is only used for starting that controls gerarbox. He loses 30 seconds and 10-15 more positions. Game over. Bad luck - yes a little, but two self inflicted mistakes led to it.
Sure he fought nicely back but it was now up to other racers - luckily for KIMI no major mistakes of DNFs occured that would have clinched it still for Lewis.
Fight of the race. Nicos last 10 laps wheel to wheel trying to overtake both Nick and Kubica which he eventually did.
Congrats KIMI. 6 convincing wins and the championship. Next year a clear favorite if Ferrari can keep their recovered speed.
Oh yeah. Massa what a race. What a start! What a team mate. Hope Kimi can return the favor soon.
Thanks for the greatest season ever. Despite Bernies and Max's efforts to try to ruin it. Who would have guessed!

lewis is amazing no doubt about it. It's really all about bridgestone. see how bad renault did after the switch. McLaren just got a speedy learning course on Bridgestone thanks to Stepheney and adjusted better than the others. + a bunch of other good stuff.
