Looking to sell this one of a kind copy of The New Matadors.
This is a copy of the 1965 book on Formula 1. Text done by Ken Purdy and Photography by Horst Baumann.
The original paper cover was covered by a plastic cover which was adheared to the original. It has started raising from the paper cover and has several bubbles. These are not damaging the cover, but are very noticeable. The edges of the paper cover are showing ware.
The hard cover looks 99.9% new. There is only one small corner crease but is almost not noticeable.
The pages have no ware or tears that I noticed. None of the pages have been written on except as noted below.
Now for the VERY GOOD part. In October of 1966 my father attended the 9th annual Los Angeles Times Grand Prix at the Riverside International Raceway. While there he purchased the book and got the following signatures.
Autographs inside the front cover - Jackie Stewart - Mario Andreti - Carrol Shelby - Dennis Hulme - A.J. Foyt
On pg25 Phill Hill autographed his picture
On pg31 John Surtees autographed his picture and later went on to win the race.
I will also include the original brocure for the race.
