- I love Montagny. I think he is as fast as ANY f1 driver out there. I hope he takes Ides seat right away. He will be 2 secs faster than ide per lap and one second faster than Sato.

Franck Montagny has been hired as the third driver for the Super Aguri Formula One team for the upcoming European Grand Prix.
Montagny had been the test and reserve driver for Renault until this season. He explored options in the Champ Car series before joining the new Super Aguri team as the third driver for the opening two races of the season in Bahrain and Malaysia.
Team owner Aguri Suzuki says talks with Montagny about "further opportunities" within the team are ongoing.
There has been much speculation about the future of rookie Yuji Ide within the team. He has struggled during the first four races of the season and a lack of testing time has not helped the situation.
