Fisi Under achieving again. So did Montoya.
Rosberg coming from last place til 7th was quite impressive. Granted he was aided by Webbers, Buttons, Ralfs DNFs But hey - He had Montoya Beat already before his retiment AND was only seconds behind Rubens and Fisi in the end.
GERMANY IS NOW THE biggest F1 force in Drivers with 4 and close up there in Engines too (4 cars). Heidfeld and Ralf were unlucky. Schumi and Nico did as good as they could have under the circumstances.
Too bad about Webbers bad luck. He would have some serious points today...
Kimi and Mclaren just didnt have it.
Almost happy to see Ferrari back and strong. Schumi had a superb drive. Massa dii a great mature job as well.
Montagny was disappointing but he stepped in cold and will sure improve.
Unfortunately Alonsos lead is HUGE now and it seems very unlikely that anybody will challange for the title. Where is Fisi. Wasnt he going to be fighting for the championship this year. Bye Fisi. Maybe even before the end of the season who knows. (kovalainen might be an earlier chance)

Fisi's as good as out of the picture at this point. He's not performing up-to-par with what Renault wanted and what he SHOULD be doing, although he is still a very talented driver nonetheless. Also, it was announced that McLaren is dropping either Raikkonen or Juan Pablo by the end of the year, to make way for Alonso coming on board. Jenson Button didn't have a good day either. Hats off to Rubens and Felipe, the two Brazilians who IMO performed very well today. Great Job Schumi, keep up the good work.
If Alonso retires or DNF's a few GPs this year, which is very unlikely, I think that it's gonna be all Ferrari. As long as Massa is performing well, they'll be serious contenders in the Constructor's championship...

Schumacher's in and out laps are something to behold. Kudos to Massa....he is someone that I like alot...... and if Kimi is coming to the Scuderia next year, hopefully Massa will be attractive to BMW or another of the mid-level teams......
McLaren just doesn't have the pace...... I wonder if Uncle Ron wished he had treated Mr. Newey a little better in his last few years with McLaren......
I would imagine that Bridgestone is hoping for a very cool summer in Europe this year........ and I would imagine that Michelin is looking forward to some warm temps in Spain this coming weekend.
Can't understand the huge gap between Alonso and Fisi these past few races....... I can't believe that Fred is getting "better" equipment as he is off to Mclaren next year ( I wonder if there isn't JUST a hint of DOUBT in Fred's mine that this move just could be a mistake?). If Flav is staying around next year..... just maybe he will be talking to Kimi in ernest?
Jarno, Nick, and Tonio all have to be wondering what they did to tick off the gods.......... Scott Speed has been a surprise for me.... he is doing pretty well in learning the F1 game at Toro Rosso.....
If........ Fred can extend his lead in the WDC by the time the circus hits Montreal...he is in really good shape..... but if Michael or Kimi can cut that lead to under 10 points going into Montreal and Indy....then it will go down to the wire....... of course I picked the Red Wings to win the Stanley Cup this spring and..................
ciao

Always a pleasure to reasd your insight Murph.
Right on. The Fisi gap for sure is stunning. I think its just Alonso being that good. Doubts. I dont think so. I think he will be able to compete in any of the top 3 teams. he is a true champion already. BY far a better all around driver than Kimi.
And Telefonica. I too enjoyed Kelsey Grammer Rubens "Fraiser" Barricello doing well. Bothin quali and race. Good on him.
I think Alonso learned from last year that by getting a lead and then defending by getting podiums IS a poisonous combination. He will Coast to the championship from here along with getting the most podiums in a row from Schumi. I think needs four more. Got 15 needs 19. Eventually I think Alonso will take many of Schumis records and by the time he is done I will sure respect his records more since he had tougher competiton. Kimi, Nico, Hamilton, Kovalainen, Piquet, Massa to name a few of the future stars.
McLaren for sure does not have it. kimi is makingthe most of it - JPM is just continuing to struggle with race speed and performance. It may well be that Dennises comment of only one NEW driver next year will not hold. If anybody stays its Kimi. I think they are done with JPM. I think Mika Hakkinen will help Kimi see the bennies of staying put.
