F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is understood to have accepted an option to renew the contract with promoter Normand Legault to take the race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve beyond this decade. Meanwhile, it is reported by 'tsn.ca' that a local group is keen to see formula one move to a second Canadian city -- Toronto. The group has reportedly approached Russian-born Canadian and 'MF1' team owner Alex Shnaider to help lobby F1 boss Ecclestone. “A spokesman for [Shnaider] said he was interested in the idea,“ the report stated, while also floating the concept of an annual switch between the two GP cities.
