Well in F1 it refers to when rumors and real contract talks are flying left and right by the mid to end part of the season. In F1 usually around July August. This year it seems to come a bit early.
As I predicted before the season I thought 2006 season was really just adjusting to new engines and rules and for the drivers to jockey for positions for 2007. So far it seems to hold up quite well. Alonso is untouchable so people will look for other things to talk about.
