I thin Piquet is running on his name - sorry it is just the way I feel.
Predictions are tough this early - remember the GP2 season does not start until Imola. I want to take a wait and see over the next few tests - also take a look at the Fisi team.

people with names often get accused of that. Sometimes it is right -- sometimes its unfair. Like his dad NelsiƱo is an amazing amazing talent. For sure a world champion one day. You heard it here first.
It was too ambitious to have your own team in GP2. Had he lent his talent to top team he would have fought for the title with Kovalainen and Rosberg.

I still have my money on Bruni. Here is his latest words on his chances:
Gianmaria Bruni has talked up his chances of winning this season's GP2 series.
The former Minardi driver believes he can use his head and talent to win the second season of the championship, and he will be 'very fast' with the series' new team - Trident.
The team, who are jointly owned by Bruni's manager Maurizio Salvadori and AC Milan football star Clarence Seedorf, won the battle to join the grid this season, beating off strong opposition from Carlin Motorsport and Epsilon Euskadi.
"I'm going to run very fast, very fast," Bruni said. "But with my head on my shoulders. It will be a very tough championship but I seriously want to win. I will have to go fast, never give up and do everything right.
"They say that luck must be helped at times, but I will have to help it too because it will have to be fast as well. The team is efficient, compact and motivated."
At last month's Paul Ricard test, engine problems meant that Bruni was unable to set a laptime among the front-runners, however he believes his pace was ultimately there.
"Watching the others on the track while trying to make the fastest lap from the pit was frustrating but the job we did was good," he added. "I'm looking forward to the next test days to take my revenge."

Hamilton is just amazing raw talent + isnt he getting the Kovalinen or was it the rosberg seat.
It will be interesting. Gotta take a look at the fulllist. Any americans..
Glad to hear Speed wil continue to carry the series.
I wish bruni good luck. Which team is he with - the one he changed to mid season last year... He did look good in the later part of the season.

Pre season testing does not always reflect the outcome of the season but here are some interesting results from the GP2 test at Barca:
Perera breaks GP2 Barcelona record
Wednesday, March 29th 2006, 16:35 GMT
Franck Perera set today the fastest ever GP2 time around Barcelona, on the second day of pre-season testing at the Spanish track.
The DAMS driver produced the lap during the first hour of the test, as the morning conditions proved the most conducive to quick times.
Lewis Hamilton was fastest in the afternoon session, but he was over a second slower than Perera's 1:22.467 benchmark. His morning time was sufficient for third in the combined order, behind iSport's Ernesto Viso.
After going quickest yesterday, Nelson Piquet Jr. was only 11th overall today, although he had been second fastest to Hamilton in the afternoon.
Trident Racing's Andreas Zuber had to sit out most of the day after a heavy crash on his 19th lap in the morning. Zuber was unhurt, but his car could not be repaired in time to rejoin the test.

Well the line up is almost as strong as last year. The drivers are all champions of their series where they came from.
It will be very exciting and I am so thankful to Speed tv that they will be showing the race (sundays) this year again.

Piquet Jr cruises to race 1 victory
By Andrew van de Burgt Saturday, April 8th 2006, 11:40 GMT
Nelson Piquet Jr cruised to victory in the opening round of the GP2 season at Valencia.
The Piquet Sports driver made the most of his pole position and romped to his second GP2 career win - only conceding the lead during the pitstops. In the end, his winning margin was seconds, and he was never really threatened.
In the opening stages it was the fast-starting iSport car of Ernesto Viso who took the fight to Piquet, but he dropped back during the pitstop period, and it was ART driver Lewis Hamilton who claimed second.
Hamilton made a slow start from third on the grid but charged his way back into contention. Second came after teammate Alex Premat spun, the Frenchman had a torrid race, losing eighth - and race 2 pole - to Viso on the final lap.
Adrian Valles held second for a long period during the middle of the race, but lost out to the ART pair in the pits. Nonetheless, he recovered for third - Campos Racing's first GP2 podium.
Nicolas Lapierre starred, setting fastest lap on his way from 21st to fourth, while Gimmi Bruni gave Trident points on their debut, chasing Jose Maria Lopez all the way to the line for sixth.
Michael Ammermuller took seventh after a charging GP2 series debut for Arden.
