I am REALLY looking forward to tis event. Coverage of this seris has been sketch here in the States but based on the web coverage we have a real rock'em sock'em series here. With 4 former Minardi drivers comepeting at ' Seca there is no way I'll miss.

so i see you there? man i really start to like this series... would be nice if they would get some more big names, that would mature it a bit... but everything in time i guess.

well F1 is team sport yet it often come across as individuals. No other sport requires such a team effort. So that alone makes the A1 more special. Laguna Seca should be a great race.

Yes I'll be there - the other post has more of my info. looking forward to it - funny because when this series was first announced I thought it was going to be a real loser.
Now I'm beginning to think this may evolve into something akin to the old tasman series.

While trying to contact Patrick re his appearance at Seca I got this reply from the Austria A1 Team:
"Thanks for the email. Patrick actually only competed in A1 for one race in
Mexico. Regular team driver Mathias Lauda will be back in the car for Laguna
Seca. Sorry to disappoint you. "

funny. but yes i thought lauda had some test obligations that weekend?

It appears that his DTM test was during the Mexican A1 event but not for the Laguna Seca one.

that was close, it almost didn't happen. i have to say i'm surprised it came that far... A1gp might've check with the Mazda raceway a little earlier then 1 week prior to the event..

You aren't kidding! I was all set to go with my MCSF PR and then that popped up. Now that we are a confirmed go we will make our announcement of the former Minardi drivers meetup.
Where you going to be during the event OM? Lets see if we can at least get together for a minute or two.
