As murph wondered.
Yes he will. Not as quickly as Kimi dismantled (sorry not much of mantle there) DC but yes - By mid season he will be up to speed with webber and probably faster overall by the end. I think and predict that Mark will and should still get more points due to his experience.

Hmmmm, don't know about that. I think he is going to need all the seat time he can get - especially in the Williams. Unknown quantity at this point. new motors, no manufacturer support...could be dodgy for a rookie.

Many of those "in the know", according to the enthusiast press, predicted very limited running on Friday's from the major players. I even saw that last year when I was at Imola....Fred Alonso did about 4 laps in total on Friday...... the reason is simple...the engines have to last 2 race weekends (same as last year) BUT with the reliability of many of the teams V8 as suspect ( Illmor......Ferrari in the Red Bull are 2 that come to mind as they haven't done too many race-length runs this winter, let alone 2 race weekend milage runs.....) and a lot of the teams have cut their rpm's a lot for reliability sake...... that is a major reason that the Torro Rosso boys looked so impressive today..... their V10 was reliable last year and with this years V10 limitied to 16,000 or so RPM....it can run forever with it's great torque helping it comming out of the slower corners in Bahrain.....

I have to say Nico will be faster than Webber and it will happen sooner than mid season and he might even end up with more points.
Sad for webber since he is great and getting killed tow years in row after being teammate crusher himeself - is not good.
But this track was also familiar to Nico - we'll see how he does in new tracks to him - luckily many are not new to him.
